Educational Leadership and Foundations (Advanced) Our 12 course (36-credit hour) Master's degree in Educational Leadership, approved by the Louisiana Board of Regents in July 2006, is designed for individuals who are preparing for certification and licensure as Educational Leader Level 1. The Educational Leader Level 1 license is an entry-level license for individuals seeking to qualify for school and/or district leadership positions (e.g., assistant principals, principals, parish or city supervisors of instruction, supervisors of child welfare and attendance, special education supervisors, or comparable school/district leader positions). After successful completion of the first 6 program hours, candidates can apply for the “Teacher Leader Endorsement.” Doctoral Degree The doctoral program in Educational Administration awards a Ph.D. and provides advanced preparation for professionals. Individuals interested in the doctoral program are encouraged to Apply to Doctoral Program in Educational Administration: This application is for those who are interested in both K-12 Administration or Educational Administration.
