Master's Degree

Our 12 course (36-credit hour) Master's degree in Educational Leadership, approved by the Louisiana Board of Regents in July 2006, is designed for individuals who are preparing for certification and licensure as Educational Leader Level 1. The Educational Leader Level 1 license is an entry-level license for individuals seeking to qualify for school and/or district leadership positions (e.g., assistant principals, principals, parish or city supervisors of instruction, supervisors of child welfare and attendance, special education supervisors, or comparable school/district leader positions).  After successful completion of the first 6 program hours, candidates can apply for the “Teacher Leader Endorsement.”

The UNO graduate educational leadership program of study will typically be completed in two years of program work.
