Kate Reynolds is the coordinator of the Program in Deaf Education in the Department of Special Education and Habilitative Services (since 1990). She is the Co- Director of LA-LIDC, a Louisiana State Department of Education funded project to collaborate with other Louisiana Universities to provide interactive distance learning in Low Incidence Disabilities for teacher certification and professional development. In addition, she currently serves as the COEHD's Faculty Technology Coordinator. Her interests include infants and toddlers who are deaf/hard of hearing, distance learning techniques, and professional collaboration. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Bright Preschool for the Deaf and is the Past-President of the International Association of College Educators - Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ACE-D/HH), current Membership Chair for the organization and Local Arrangements Chair for the 2009 conference in New Orleans (March 4-8).
