<empty>Dr. O’Hanlon completed both her MS and Ph.D. at Penn State University in Human Development and Family Studies, an interdisciplinary program with a lifespan focus.  Dr. O’Hanlon specializes in gerontology, the study of the aging process, and is the director of the UNO Graduate Gerontology Certificate program.   She teaches an array of courses in Health Promotion and currently serves as the graduate coordinator for the students in the Human Performance and Health Promotion program.  Her research interests include attitudes toward aging, educational gerontology, spirituality and aging, and health and aging.
