<empty>Kimberly L. Mason received her Ph.D. at NCC.  She received a M.Ed. in Mental Health Counseling and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education with emphasis on School Counseling, from the University of New Orleans. Her current research focuses on cyberbullying, bullying, Internet safety, establishing best practices for school counselors and counselor educators, and the role of school counselor. Currently, Dr. Mason is authoring a textbook entitled, The School Counselor Intern’s Handbook, which is under contract by Prentice Hall. She was a contributing member of the Ohio Department of Education’s Anti-Harassment, Anti-Intimidation, or Anti-Bullying Model Policy as well as a consultant for many Ohio schools and state and governmental agencies. She has given numerous workshops on issues such as bullying, cyberbullying, Internet safety and conflict resolution to school districts, schools, and communities across the state of Ohio. She also provided conflict management and classroom management trainings to pre-service teachers and school counselors at Cleveland State University. Dr. Mason has been a K-12 counselor for five years and a mental health and substance abuse counselor for two years.
