Dr. Lena Nuccio-Lee is an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice in the Department of Special Education and Habilitative Services, EDUC department. She is certified in grades 1-8, and she taught elementary school for eight years in the Jefferson Parish Public School System. She earned her BA in Elementary Education from the University of New Orleans, a MS in Elementary School Counseling, from Loyola, New Orleans, and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Southern Mississippi. She teaches Child and Adolescent Development and Classroom Management and supervises Student Teachers in the Field. She is the Counselor for Kappa Xi, the UNO chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, and International Honor Society in Education.
