Yvelyne Germain-McCarthy was born in Haiti and raised in Brooklyn. NY. She appreciates and supports national teaching standards promoting respect for student diversity through teaching and assessment strategies. Her interests include enhancing teacher collaboration and learning through the Lesson Study Process, multicultural mathematics, technology for enhancing learning, reducing teachers’ mathematics anxiety through their engagement in solving and creating challenging problems within a supportive environment, swimming and dancing.
