Meaningful Mathematics through Modeling

Description of Project:

The Meaningful Mathematics through Modeling project seeks to develop the capacity of teams of teachers and administrators, recruited from local high needs schools, to create and sustain reformed mathematics instruction. The project creates this capacity by delivering standards-based, and best practices informed professional development to 45 teachers from grades K—6 drawn from targeted schools. The participants are engaged in 20 days of professional development (12 summer days, 8 academic year days). Participants can earn 3 graduate credit hours.
