LiveText begins an association with Learn 360

Before 2009, candidates who registered for Live Text had the option of paying a few extra dollars to also register with United Streaming. Beginning this year, however, candidates are given the option to choose a a new source for multi-media resources: Learn 360. Registering for LiveText

ALL school career candidates MUST purchase LiveText.* Our suggestion is to purchase the expanded version with "Learn 360," because we think that you can learn a great deal by becoming familiar with this type of multi-media resource. At this time, however, this additional commitment is completely optional. When you register, your credit card will be charged $98 or $128 if you choose to include Learn 360. This is a one-time purchase fee and is good for five years of use. When you register it is important to use your UNO SEVEN DIGIT NUMERIC STUDENT ID # (not your "email" name) for your user name. You may select any password you want, but please don't forget it!

NEW TUTORIAL ON THE NEW METHOD OF ENTERING FIELD EXPERIENCE HOURS. Beginning in the Fall of 2009, the college is instituting a new way to enter field experience hours. Trainings will be offered, and links to new tutorials will be posted here. CLICK HERE FOR THE TUTORIAL FOR THE NEW METHOD.

THERE IS A NEW WAY OF ENTERING FIELD EXPERIENCE HOURS. YOU WILL BE ENTERING YOUR EXPERIENCES INTO A PORTFOLIO DURING THE SEMESTER, THEN ONCE -- AND ONLY ONCE EACH SEMESTER -- WILL YOU BE FILLING OUT THE OFFICIAL FORM WITH A TOTAL OF ALL OF YOUR HOURS FOR ALL OF YOUR EXPERIENCES IN THAT ONE SEMESTER.

How do I find out how many hours I have entered?
(This tutorial applies to the OLD METHOD that has been used to count your hours. The hours you entered using that methid will remain there for you to see, though you may not fill out new forms any more.) Click here for a very brief tutorial that focuses on two tasks: 1) How to pick the right form and 2) How to go back to the forms area to see what you have already entered (and to count the number of hours you have) .

*There are some exceptions for those seeking "add-on" certification. If you are enrolled only to gain add-on certification, please check with one of your instructors to see if you are required to purchase Live Text. Even if you are exempt, we encourage you to purchase the product, as it is a very powerful educational resource.
